Workplace Disagreement....PWNED!

A few days ago at work (OHSU) I was in the hallway talking to a coworker when a couple of visitors asked us for directions to the Vollum Institute (without going outside). As we were giving them directions we disagreed on which building connects SJH to MacHall. I was SURE it was the Medical Research Building (MRB) while Erin was sure it's the Biomedical Research Building (BRB).

Needless to say I was wrong. However, I refuse to accept being 100% wrong because you go through BOTH the BRB and the MRB to get to MacHall.

To win her case, my coworker sent me the following email.
**Please note that minutes before I received this email I, myself, went to MacHall and took pictures to prove I was somewhat correct. Funny how our minds work like that.

Alas, the email:

Went on a little walk awhile ago.. thought I would share my experience…

In this picture you will see what I found when traveling to Central Mail Services from the outside

Once in the BRB, this is what I found

When I went to my left (towards MacHall) this is what I saw

And then up up up the ramp…it tells me that I’m about the enter the old very yucky MRB…

Once making my delivery (I was not just doing this for fun)… and leaving the MRB this is what I found when getting ready to go back into the very pretty new BRB, I think if you look closely you can see ceiling tile stains…

Once back in the BRB I loved admiring the many plaques with the magnificent facts about the BRB… have a look (please notice BRB on all plaques).

Oh look at the conference room calendar holder…..

And right next to it is a sign to let you know that you are on your way to the old, yucky MRB (but not there quite yet..)

And if all of this was not enough here is the sign in Sam Jackson to point you, please take note that they put the sign in the building that adjoins the next building to point you, not a sign in the building pointing through another building before you get to the building your looking for.

Oh darn I forgot to ride in an elevator and check out those plaques too…. Maybe next time.
